WTF Band, adopted the name Worldly Today’s Funk given that their repertoire is a vibrant and eclectic mix of jazz fusion, funk classics, and instrumental cumbia—guaranteed to bring a touch of conservatory sophistication to even the most raucous backyard barbecue. On bass, Andius Jent expertly holds down the pocket while adding harmonic flair with the finesse of a seasoned chef, crafting a low-end groove that leaves you feeling warm and satisfied. Guitarist Tomas Salcedo masterfully weaves together chords, melody, and rhythm, providing a rich musical texture that rounds out the band’s dynamic sound. Meanwhile, drummer Chris Gamper drives the group forward with unwavering precision, keeping the band locked in perfect sync. THE GOOD CAUSE
A dynamic four-piece powerhouse, assembled by keyboardist Steve Ulstein, showcases some of the Bay Area's most dedicated and talented musicians. The group is anchored by producer and songwriter Chris Lujan on bass, who delivers a Motown-inspired groove that sets a solid foundation for their sound. Driving the rhythm section like a tank is drummer Chris Gamper, whose powerful and precise drumming locks everything into place. Over this soulful and rock-solid rhythm, singer Andre Cruz brings his unique vocal style, stamping his signature all over the sonic landscape with his expressive and captivating delivery. Together, they create a rich, immersive experience that is as tight as it is energetic.
Ghost Town Messengers
Ghost Town Messengers is a guitar trio from San Francisco, CA. Driving jazz fusion with a particularly groove oriented and instrumentally rich approach.
All seasoned jazz session players the Ghost Town Messengers have been playing together in different combos and pickup gigs for decades. Wishing to focus on the guitar trio format, their music emotes through selective chops and lyrical solo sections that ebb and flow like the tide of the SF Bay. Their original compositions bring to life Ernest Ranglin, Pat Metheny and Jon Scofield while subtly drifting into their own lane.
